Today's sketch is Hayate, Kaede and Emperor Garuda from Shadow of the Ninja(NES). Ninja Gaiden is the primary influence on this game ( I know, I know, Castlevania inspired all of these platformers). Ninjas were a hot commodity and a bunch of ninja games being made. This one os one of the better ones. One of the cool things is the 2 player co-op feature which was a big deal back in the day. I mean, Double Dragon on the NES wasn't even co-op! DOUBLE dragon! Great game though. Anyway, simple plot but tons of action and challenge. Not quite on par with the action and story of Ninja Gaiden, but a solid game worth checking out.

I am into the NES classics, like what you mentioned: Double Dragon, Ninja Gaiden etc.
