The devil king of the Makai from the Ghosts N' Goblins series... I remember him being called Satan and then it becoming Astaroth later. Not sure if that was a Nintendo censorship thing or Capcom Love this game but it is hard as crap and cheaper than free soda. "A trap devised by Satan?" I have to start from the beginning?! *expletive deleted* 18" X 24" acrylic on canvas.

Astaroth!

This is one of the coin-ops I used to own before I moved to the US. I actually started to disassemble the game code to try and create an invulnerability patch, because I have never been able to get past the end of the first level, after literally thousands of attempts. Sigh.
